Lincoln Co., KY, WB S, p. 418, 15 Mar. 1856:
In compliance with the order of the Lincoln County CourtWinfrey Menifee and James A. Hill and William Jackman met and afterbeing first sworn proceeded to appraise the property of A. C. Hiattdec. which is shown by his administration this 15th day of March 1856.

Lincoln Co., KY, WB U, p. 135, 29 Oct 1862:
The undersinged being called upon by George W. Hiatt to state and settle his account as Guardian of Mary E., Benjamin D., and Emily Jane Hiatt infant children of Abner C. Hiatt deceased met said guardian on the 29th day of October 1862 and made the required settlement. I find from a settlement made by T. W. Napier late County Judge of Lincoln on the 28th day of December 1861 that there was in said guardians hands belonging to said children the sum of one hundred and thirty three dollars .54
$133.54 Interest on same from 28th day of Dec. 1861 $6.27

Said guardian here charges himself with the further sum of onehundred and ninety eight dollars .28 which he received from W. JackmanExecutor B. Hiatt 198.28 interest $6.27 - 344.79

Notes on Absalom Hiatt from Henry County, Indiana Probate Records

Order Book C., p 330 1844-May-20
"Order by the Court that Mary Hiatt be and is hereby appointed guardian of the
estates of Mehetabel, Abraham, Ira, Matilda, Bethia Jane and Absalom Hiatt,
infant children and heirs of Absalom Hiatt who thereupon files bond in the
penal sum of $50 with David Hiatt her security to the acceptance of the court
accordingly letters are granted."
pg. 513 1845-November term of court:
And now comes Mary Hiatt guardian of the heirs of Absalom Hiatt and suggests to
the court she has intermarried with Henry Jackson since her appointment
thereupon on motion it is ordered that Henry Jackson be and is hereby appointed
guardian of the persons and estates of Mehetabel Hiatt, aged 16 years, Abraham
Hiatt, aged 14 years, Matilda Hiatt aged 9 years and Absalom Hiatt age 4 years
infant childrne and heirs of Absalom Hiatt decd. who thereupon files bond in
the penal sum of $200 with Michael Reece his security to the acceptance of the
court and is duly sworn in open court accordingly letters are granted and the
letter heretofore granted to the said Mary revoked.
Book D., p 53 1846-November term of court:
David Hiatt appointed guardianof Mahatabel Hiatt aged 14 years, Abraham Hiatt
aged 12 years Matilda Hiatt aged 10 years and Absalom Hiatt aged 5 years in
place of Henry Jackson resigned and posts bond in the sum of $600 with Miles
Lamb his security.
Book E. p. 100 1851- August term of court:
David Hiatt resigned as guardian of the infant and minor heirs of Absalom
Hiatt, deceased.
page 123. Mary Jackson appointed guardian of Abraham Hiatt age 19 years,
Matilda Hiatt, aged 14 years, and Absalom Hiatt aged 10 years, heir at law of
Absalom Hiatt, decd. with Joseph Hiatt her security...
Henry County marriage records (Book F, pg 42) show Henry Jackson and Mary
Hiatt were married by David Hiatt, J.P. 1845-Oct-23.
Absalom Hiatt was the son of Absalom and Ann (Reece) Hiatt. He was married
1829-Oct-05 in Henry County, Ind. to Mary Bales, the daughter of Abraham and
Mehitabel (Beeson) Bales. She was born 1809-8th Mo-28 and died in Vinson,
Oregon 1883-Aug-01. (Beals)
Absalom Hiatt was disowned by Duck Creek MM after this marriage.
