From information sent 22 Jan 2003 by Jessie Taylor, JJTaylors@earthlink.net
Hello Larry:
I did get the e-mail and should have no further problems there.
As I mentioned earlier, the one big question no one seems to be able to answer for certain is the country of origin of the Hiatt families. That is something I'd dearly like to find out as I am in the early stages of scrapbooking my family for my grand daughter and am finding lots of holes in my information.
Here is what I can tell you: My mother; Ruby Bernice Hiatt, daughter of Clinton Otis and Marie Skjelsness Hiatt. There were 5 children:
Ruby Bernice, Denver Clinton, Ruth Virginia, Georgianna and Polly Marie.
All except Georgianna are deceased.

Clinton was born in Munice, IN July 13, 1876, to George and Anna Hiatt. George was a railroad switchman, died Sept. 1953. George and Anna had 9 children. One daughter, name unknown, died at an early age. The children were: Clinton, Ethel, Edna, Russel, Wayne, Ord, Glen and Foy.

This is as far back as I have thus far. I have only recently set up my computer so am not familiar with the genealogy software out there. The info I have I obtained got 20 years ago from Georgianna and one of my cousins.

Is the George here the same one you refer to? ...
Thanks, Jesse Taylor, PS, I have a sister in law who is working on the Taylor line. Wouldn't it be wild if those Taylor families were connected

Lillie May Hiatt and Clarence Mahaffey were first cousins and were divorced
about 1906. Clinton Hiatt was Lillie May's son and was adopted by James and
