Addie Dixon was born in Brooklyn, New York Nov 4, 1856 and died at her home
in Indianola, Iowa. April 27, 1927. Age 70 years and 6 months.
October 19, 1875 she was married to L.E. Hiatt and to this union where born
six children who, with her husband, 19 grandchildren, and five great
grandchildren are left to mourn their loss.
Several brothers and sisters in the east and many relatives and friends
feel keenly their loss in her going.
Funeral services were conducted at the hom eat 2:30 on Sunday afternoon by
Dr. Arthur Atack.

veterinarian, Republican and organizer of annual Henry Co., Fair. Mother Sarah Alice Davis, was common lineage with Confederate President Jefferson Finis Davis. Nellie Katheryne died at husbands farm at Mooreland, of blood poisoning resulting from child birth. She was a member of the Christian Church before her marriage.
