Noblesville Ledger: Milton Hiatt, age 82 passed away Saturday. The
funeral was held at the family residence Monday, with Rev. Garrison in charge
and the burial occured in the Sheridan cemetary. The widow, 2 sons and 2
daughters survive. Theodore, one of the 2 sons, lives in New York and Fred,
another son lives in Arizona.
The Deceased was a resident of Sheridan and vacinity most of his long life
and had been Sexton of the cemetary, since the present burial ground was
plotted a long time ago.

Milton Hiatt was born near Hortonville, Ind. Sept 3, 1851 and died Oct 31, 1931. He was married to Loulella Davis Feb 11, 1877. Four children Anna, Fred, Valeria, and Theodore all living. During early years he worked at various occupations, but when the Crown View Cemetary Association was formed he was employed to assist in plotting the ground. He was Sexton for 27 years.
Two years ago he was dismissed with out cause and it was of great concern to
him. The funeral was held at the residence on West Second Street and he was
buried in Crown View. He leaves a widow and four children, Theodore of New
York, Fred of Arizona, Mrs. Anna Ross of Indianapolis and Valeria Mrs. Harry
Waitt of Anderson, Ind.

June 13, She was interested in locating some of her local ancestry.
Mrs. Jacobs is the daughter of Frederick Wilburn Hiatt, a Sheridan Native.
She is the granddaughter of Milton and Louella Hiatt and Alice Bahr of DeKalb.
She would be pleased to hear from anyone, who could provide information on this genealogy.
