Services for William Hiatt, 76, Route 4, Greenwood, will be at 2 P.M. tomorrow in the J. C. Wilson Madison Avenue Chapel, Greenwood.
Hiatt died Tuesday in University Heights Hospital. He was a member of Smith Valley Evangelical United Brethren Church.
Survivors - widow Mary E.; sons William, James, John, and Charles.

William Hiatt Sr.
(died of cancer, member of the Center United Methodist Church, see also 1920 census of Marion Co., IN)
William "Pap" Hiatt Sr., 77, Indianapolis, died Tuesday at St. Francis Hospital, Beech Grove. Mr. Hiatt was the owner and operator of Hiatt Trucking Co. 23 years, retiring in 1975. Prior to that he was a school bus driver for the Perry Township School district 10 years. He was a member of the Southport Masonic Lodge 270 and Center United Methodist Church. Services will be at 1 P.M. Friday in G. H. Herrmann Funeral Home, with calling until 9 tonight. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Glenns Valley. Survivors - wife Evelyn M. Taylor Hiatt; son William E. Hiatt Jr.; daughter Joanne Hiatt Wade; stepson Tom Pryor; stepdaughters Kay Watson, Nancy Schilling; brother Charles Hiatt; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.

James Hiatt rites planned
Greenwood - James E. Hiatt, 54, a driver for Stokely Van Camp, died Thursday at the University Heights Hospital in Indianapolis, following an illness of one month. He resided on Greenwood, route 4.
The funeral service will be Sunday at 2:00 P. M. from the J. C. Wilson Greenwood Chapel, U. S. 31 and Main St., with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Rev. Kenneth Arnold will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7:00 P. M. Friday.
Mr. Hiatt was born June 23, 1914, in Morgan County, the son of William and Mary Davee Hiatt. He lived in Morgan (penciled in here is Johnson) for the most part of his life.
His memberships include the Mount Pleasant Christian Church, Brooklyn Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Marat Shrine, and the BargersvilleOrder of Eastern Star.
He is survived by the wife, Mary Mae (Burkhart) Hiatt; one daughter, Sharon Williams; one son, Jimmy Hiatt; and the mother, oll of Greenwood, route 4.
Also surviving are three brothers, William Hiatt of Indianapolis, John and Charles Hiatt of Stuart, Florida, and several nieces and nephews.
